Swiss Army Knives for Sale: 6 Reasons to Buy One

We’re just going to say it. Go ahead and get yourself a Swiss Army Knife. Everyone has one, Swiss Army Knives are for sale all over the place, they’re pretty affordable, and there are so many options.

But we’re putting the cart before the horse with that justification. Let’s take a look at why you should seriously just bite the bullet and get yourself one.

1. You can do pretty much anything with them
Obviously, we’ll lead with the cash cow claim – you can do basically anything with a Swiss Army Knife.

Even though that’s framed as a hyperbole, if you step back for a second, it becomes more and more soberingly self-apparent.

You really can do almost anything with a Swiss Army Knife, from popping balloons with the awl to tightening Torx bits and writing checks. They really have a mind-boggling number of functions.

2. Because even the fakes aren’t worth it
Swiss Army Knives are a quandary of modern economics. In most areas, counterfeiters have made a quick buck knocking off the original, selling the fakes for less, and pocketing some of the difference.

The Swiss Army Knife sticks in the craw of these con artists because they haven’t found a way to make affordable fakes that are worth buying.

That is, there are affordable knocked-off Swiss Army Knives for sale, but they’re hardly worth it. They’re no better than the real thing, and they’re typically not cheaper, either.

So there’s no point. Just get a real one.

3. They have superior ergonomics
One of the great things about the classic Swiss Army Knife is its untouchable ergonomics.

It’s almost not believable, really. Honestly, they look downright ugly. It almost seems unreasonable that they’d be comfortable to hold and use until you actually do it, and it all becomes clear.

Yes, the lozenge looks like a nightmare to carry, hold, and use, but really, it’s one of the most comfortable, optimal designs in the knife industry.

4. The -inox means the blades are stainless and abuse-tolerant
Swiss Army Knives – though we’re not advocating for this – can take a bit of abuse. The -inox in Victorinox comes from French, “inoxidable,” which loosely translated into English means “stainless.”

That is, unlike some super steels and classic carbon blades, these ones won’t rust. At least not easily. So go ahead, use it the way a normal person would, and don’t wipe it off before putting it away. It’ll take a force of nature to get it to rust!

5.Because there’s a Swiss Army Knife for you
As many uses are there are for a Swiss Army Knife, and there are many, there are just as many models. It’s a marvel of marketing.

From fixed blade hunting patterns to multi-tools with something like 80 functions, there is a mind-boggling mass of Swiss Army Knives for sale – down to the diminutive Classic SD, which, by the way, is massively utilitarian despite being small

6. Because Victorinox is just a cool company
Victorinox is also just a cool company. They’re in their 131st year of operation, put corporate sustainability at the heart of everything they do, and, perhaps coolest of all, recycle some of the heat their facility produces to heat 120 local apartments in Ibach, Switzerland. So, in a very forward-thinking way, they give back to those around them.Victorinox Swiss Army Knives for Sale – and More
