Picatinny Rail Assembly
Love or hate the MP5, one shortcoming is the lack of attachment points for optics, lights, and other shooting accessories.
This may be a product of its age. Many antiquated platforms just aren’t made with rail systems that can support attachments. The MP5, which was introduced almost 60 years ago, in 1966, is one of them.
Either way, it limits the expandability of the platform. However, some manufacturers, such as the aforementioned Zenith Firearms, produce Picatinny rail assemblies that are compatible with the claw-mount lugs on the MP5’s receiver.

The classic MP5 comes with a tropical handguard, which, though it offers decent tactility, offers very little in the way of expandability.
Moreover, even if you equip your MP5 with a Pic rail adapter like the one mentioned above, there’s only so much you can do with it.
That is, you can’t mount a scope or red dot and then a WML in succession. One of these needs to be staggered.
Some companies produce M-LOK handguards for MP5 platforms and MP5 clones, which are perfect for mounting other shooting accessories like lights, lasers, and offset iron rights.
A Hard-Sided Case
While it isn’t a particularly exciting MP5 accessory, a hard-sided case can be highly valuable and it will almost certainly pay for itself.
You will recognize that this is not hyperbole: all tricked out, with an expensive optic, your MP5 or MP5 clone might have a price of above $20,000.
Even if you get a much more affordable American-made MP5, you could still be looking at a platform with a $5,000-plus sticker price.
That’s quite an investment, and optics and other shooting accessories can be quite fragile.
Protecting them with a hard-sided case that offers excellent protection against weather and other impediments just makes sense, especially when you can get one for $75 at Zenith Firearms.

An MP5 3-Lug Flash Hider
If your MP5 is equipped with a threaded MP5 barrel with lug mounts, you may also be able to outfit it with an MP5 3-lug flash hider.
These will increase the cool factor of your MP5 several times, not to mention giving it a more authentic look.
