A CAA MCK is sort of like a chassis that makes it possible to convert your handgun (dependent on model) into a pistol caliber carbine (PCC), and it offers a lot of value on top of that.

No Modifications Needed
With a CAA MCK, you don’t need to make any modifications to the gun, as long as it’s a compatible model. Just open the trapdoor, insert the gun, slide it forward, and lock it in place.
Then you’re good to shoot. One note, though, the platform will need to be re-zeroed every time you insert or remove the gun.
Easy to Use and Fire
The CAA MCK is relatively easy to use and fire, and fairly intuitive. It doesn’t have any odd controls; just a charging handle, and then whatever your handgun offers natively.
A Pistol, Not a Subgun
Worried this might count as an SMG or an SBR? Not to worry, the ATF’s Firearms Technology Industry Services Branch has released a letter that says users may shoulder and fire the device with a pistol brace. This makes this highly accessible as a pistol caliber carbine for many users.
Some Models Have a Folding Brace for Storage and Transport
Some micro conversion kits come with a folding brace that cuts back on its footprint, making it easier to transport and store. There are also specialized, discreet MCK cases you can get for that very purpose.
Ambidextrous Charging for Easy Manual Cycling
The MCK has two wings on either side of the platform that facilitate sure, easy, positive manual cycling, which also makes the platform technically ambidextrous. There are also extended charging handles you can get for some models that will improve cycling even more.
Spare Magazine Storage
The MCK has a slot in front of the handgun’s grip that’s perfectly designed for storage of a magazine. This keeps some spare firepower within easy reach, and for what it’s worth, it’s also pretty practical as a spare grip.
Multiple Attachment Points
The MCK is full of attachment points, some of which are specialized for unique attachments and others that are more generalized. For instance, thanks to the Pic rail over the “receiver,” it’s easy to mount optics like scopes or an RDS – among other attachments.
You Can Run a Red Dot and Irons for Co-Witness
If you get flip-up iron sights for your MCK as well as a red dot sight, you can easily use them for co-witness. Of course, thanks to the multiple attachment points you could also go with offset iron sights for backup if that worked better for you.
Many Useful CAA MCK Accessories
In addition to the numerous attachment points that are baked into the design of the basic CAA MCK, there are tons of specialized MCK accessories that are designed specifically to be used with these platforms. For instance, you can get an integral front flashlight or a glass breaker that are expressly designed for compatibility with the MCK. There are also plenty of other helpful accessories such as brass catchers, thumb rests, and barrel extensions for MCKs.
