These P365 barrels are also designed with 1:10 twist, broach-cut rifling, and deep-cut target crowns.
This rate of twist is ideal for fast-burning, modern propellants, and delivers proven performance with an optimal range of ammo weights, from light range ammo to heavier defensive and +P rounds.
That, along with the deep-cut crown, also deliver exceptional accuracy where it counts, making these barrels ideal for outfitting handguns to be used for everything from defensive applications to competition, and even handgun hunting.
The barrel in question has even been engineered down to the rifling. They’re made with broach-cut rifling; this process utilizes a tool with teeth that successively removes a small amount of material from the bore to form the rifling. It is more precise than button rifling and incurs less stress on the barrel.
If you look closely, you will also see that these barrels sport flat pentagonal fluting. Barrel fluting, while it may be cosmetically appealing, is fundamentally not cosmetic. Fluting improves the barrel’s ability to dissipate heat, not only reducing stress, but upholding a higher degree of accuracy, especially under periods of sustained fire.
Moreover, these P365 barrels are available in both threaded and non-threaded configurations. The threaded barrels also represent a substantial upgrade to the handgun given the fact that they give you the freedom to expand with muzzle devices.
Notably, the installation of a compensator to the end of a threaded barrel can help substantially cut felt recoil and muzzle flip, reducing shooter fatigue and keeping the gun’s sights trained on the target for faster, more accurate follow-up shots.
